What the film does
More than a security upgrade.
Optically clear
The clear 14 mil interior and 7 mil exterior films preserve the view. Choose 12 mil frosted matte when obscured visibility is part of the goal.
Holds glass together on impact
A hammer, crowbar, or brick creates a spiderweb crack. The laminated layer keeps shards bonded so an intruder cannot reach through.
Blocks more than 99% UV
The same film that resists smash-and-grab also blocks UV-A and UV-B. Reduces fabric and floor fade and cuts heat gain on south-facing rooms.

The film and installation are backed by manufacturer and workmanship warranties. Ask us for details at your assessment.
Anti-shatter safety
If a window does break, whether from storm debris, an accident, or an impact, the film keeps the broken glass from spraying into the room.
Compatible with your glass
Tempered, annealed, single-pane, and double-pane glass are all candidates. We measure and spec the right thickness window-by-window during the assessment.

Clear Guard’s primary residential system combines 14 mil interior security film with 7 mil exterior security film on the same pane. Most clients receive both after we assess the glass and frame. For security with privacy, we offer 12 mil frosted matte interior film. The 8 mil interior film is used selectively.

Clear 14 mil and 7 mil security films preserve the view. Our 12 mil frosted matte security film intentionally obscures visibility where privacy is also required.
Q.02How long does a whole-home install take?
Typically one day for an average single-family home. Two technicians, no renovation.
Q.03What about tempered or double-pane glass?
Both can be candidates. We assess the glass, frame, and exposure before specifying film for each pane.
